The project for Quinta da Eiró was born from a personal and geographical connection between two regions of Portugal, the North and the South.
The producer lives in the South, but his vineyards grow in the North, in the Douro Valley. The constant movement between these two regions became the foundation of the entire concept, a story of direction, distance and belonging.
From this idea of orientation came the line Virado, which literally means “facing”.
Each wine reflects the side of the vineyard it comes from, Virado a Norte and Virado a Sul, expressed through geometric arrows pointing to each direction.
The result is a clean and immediate visual system where form and color define the character of each wine: the North is cooler and sharper, the South warmer and more generous. The use of contrasting colors reinforces this dialogue between light and shadow, freshness and heat, two sides of the same landscape.
The second line, Rumos, expands the concept.
While Virado speaks about orientation, Rumos speaks about movement, the physical and emotional path that connects both regions and mirrors the producer’s own journey between them. Its intersecting lines evoke maps, routes and coordinates, creating a subtle visual metaphor for connection and direction.
